Ocho y Medio is a bookshop exclusively dedicated to publications about the industry and art of cinema and to all subjects related to the media (TV, Photography, Video…). It is the absolute heir of the Alphaville bookshop, which was founded more than 20 years ago on the basement of the Alphaville Theater. Since 1995, date in which we opened a bookshop street-side called Ocho y Medio.

Ocho y Medio has a stock of more than 15,000 titles, specially in Spanish, English and French (as well as in Italian, Portuguese, German, Galician, Catalan, …), which is constantly updated. Our bookshop is situated at the very heart of the O.V. cinemas of the city (just in front of the Alphaville, Renoir Princesa and Princesa Theatres).

Since 1999, under the same name, we are dedicated to the publication of cinema books.

The bookshop is not just a place where you will find all the items you are looking for, it is also a lively space where a great number of events take place, in which lots of our distinguished friends participate. Due to the organization of an array of activities, Ocho y Medio has often appeared on the general and specialized press, and has been granted some awards and the recognition of a bookshop dedicated to Art, Cinematography and the Media.
